Drawing & Design
Students practice using pen, charcoal, graphite, pastel, scratchboard, drawing from observation, and sighting and measuring.
Students study challenging subjects like the human figure, hands, faces, perspective, animals, cloth, clothing, transparent and reflective surfaces.
Students use design when they are presented with various scenarios/problems that they have to design/draw solutions to. This process is meant to be similar to concept artists and product designers. There will be many stages of sketching, critiquing, refining, and presenting of ideas.
